The 2008 election leaves a lot to be desired. My question to America is, are these candidates the best we got? We got two liberals on the democrats side that are using the government to give us everything we want. On the republicans side we got people trying to be conservatives when in fact they are not.
First the democrats. Hillary Clinton wants to give everyone health care despite the fact that we can't pay for it and the damage that it will do to our health care industry. She ignored the fact that government health care does not work. If you don't believe me then just look at Canada and England. Also not everyone want health insurance. Most young people would rather use that money for something else. Hillary will raise you taxes regardless of what she says. She has to in order to pay for everything she wants to do. She also will surrender in Iraq and she willing to shed a tear or two if it will get her elected.
Barrack Obama is just like Hillary. His polices are basically the same as her. There may be a few minor differences here and there in how much they spend on programs but other then that they are the same. The one difference between the two that I know of is the Iraq war. He said he was against it from the beginning. If we had a responsible media that would report all the good things going on in Iraq then he would not have a chance in this election. His speaking skills have help him big time also. In the speeches that he gives he say all the things that people want to hear. This is a big plus in today society where what you say is more important then what you do. If you look at his record you will see that he has done nothing other then to learn how to give good speeches.
Now for the republicans. John McCain is a rino, that is all I need to say about him. Look at all the endorsement that he has received and who they have come from. Yes, I know that he has a few conservatives that has endorsed him but the only reason they have is because they think he is the only republican that can win the White House ( makes me wonder about their principles). Not going to happen! The press is building McCain up because they want him to win the primary. In the general election they will rip him apart. His only shot is for Hillary to win because the republicans will unite behind him because they hate Hillary more. If Barrack wins then its over, because of his speaking ability he will beat McCain in a land slide.
Mike Huckabee has no shot and need to get out of the race. Mike is a minister and a christian, that is two strikes against him. The press will rip him like no other. Plus some of his policies are not conservative in nature.
Mitt Romney is a businessman which is probably something we need right now. My problems with him is that he has change his mind on issues to many time. When you have someone who changes their mind all the time it makes you wonder if you can trust them.
So I ask you again America, who do I vote for? I can not in good conscious vote for a democrat who believes the government is smarter then me. I don't see how I can vote for a republican when the only choice I have is a democrat want-a-be or someone who don't know if he a liberal or a conservative or someone who changes his mind when the wind blows. I may have to do something that I don't want to do and that is sit this election out. I do not want to sit out the election this year but what other choice do I have. I could run myself but no ordinary everyday american can run for the presidency and that is sad. I'm sure if the founding fathers could see the United States today they would cry.
